The Great Australian Salute

One thing I really hate and irritate me the most here in Australia is the housefly! They are so irritating, keep on buzzing around your ears, they even fly into your mouth at times! KahPeng just tasted one of them yesterday ( Hehehe!! Taste good? ). They are so different from the housefly in Malaysia. Back in Malaysia, housefly used to avoid human being, when you walk near them, they will fly away in no time.

Housefly here tend to stick to you desperately! Even you keep chasing them away, they just refused to go away. Is not like you’re smelly or what, they are just sticking you for no reason! If you walk past a field, you can see almost everyone doing the same action like you do, waving hand chasing those damn housefly away especially when you’re wearing a black shirt, it could worst! If you see my buddy KahPeng’s blog here, he says exactly the same thing before.

Buzzing

When I walk back from my University just now, an Australian saw me waving my hand again as usual, she was laughing and said, “this is THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN SALUTE”!

True enough…

Jogging Day

KahPeng, Kodomo and I went for a jog in Kearneys Spring Historical Park. Frankly speaking, it’s really been a while since I really exercise myself. Probably was too rusty, my body muscle is so painful now but I guess it was kinda worth it. Last night was so tired, I had a very good sleep. Kudos, Kodomo joined us as well, I was kinda shock actually to see him actually willing to jog along (although we lied to him earlier that we were just going have a walk).

Anyway, we took some very funny photos. I’ll show you all more later. Now I’ll just show you one that I’ve edited last night. Have a look.

Jump
Kodomo jump so “YENG”!

Finally…

It’s Spring now but the temperature at night lately is getting quite cold. It’s around 11°C to 14°C for the past few nights. I tried not to on the heater and staying in my blanket but sometimes, is just not easy. I dislike using my heater, skin can dry up badly. Isshh… Recall back the time when I just arrived here, it was during the mid of Winter and the temperature was like 4-6°C. From a hot and warm country like Malaysia suddenly into this weather. I reckon it was like nightmares to me.

Anyway, I’ve FINALLY received a call yesterday from one IT recruitment company in Brisbane offering me a job as IT service desk in Brisbane. It’s something what I was working as in Dell before. I was so excited. However, it did not work out when they heard I’m still a University student. They are expecting a full time worker with more than 3 months availability. I’ve tried to bargain and told them I’m willing to even transfer my study to Brisbane if this work out. But again, I have another problem which is my VISA. I’m holding a student working VISA which only allow me to work for not more than 20 hours a week in Australia, they want a full time WORKING VISA candidate. Sad case but I still feel happy, I know is just a luck and condition problem. No worries. I’ll try for another one.

It’s been a while I’ve been trying to apply jobs here in terms of professional, casual and part time job, sadly, no reply at all. Well, no worries, they told me to update them when I’m about to finish my study, they will try to look for some other jobs for me by then. Happy enough. Thank god.

Get well soon Grandma

I just received an email from my mum saying my grandma was admitted to hospital last weekend due to dehydration. She fainted and had blackout twice. Glad to hear that she had been discharged from the hospital, no big deal, she’s fine now. Thank god. I hope you will get well soon Grandma. I miss you, get well soon, I’ll bring you to dimsum again when I come back.

My mum also mentioned that her car was scratched badly last weekend when she went to visit my aunt’s new house. She said that she did not block anyone and it was not a reserved place where she parked her car. Perhaps, some people are even worst than dog. If they dislike people to park “in front” of their house, they should just put something to reserve it or at least put a note there do not park here. How would an outsider know that you need that place? Further more, it is not their place.

Well, I guess is a waste of time to educate some brainless sick bastard. They are born to be like that, can’t expect much.

Malaysian oh Malaysian, I guess we are really not civilized, we are still far backward in terms of education and culture. Shame on us…

No good, this is no good…

ARgh.. I had a presentation this morning, for my Principle Of Information Security subject. I was so nervous when it was my turn to present, I must say I really screwed it up, badly! I don’t even know what was I talking. Horrible!!! Actually I’ve written down some notes and I’ve read it for few times to make sure I won’t have any problem with my presentation. But things still screwed up. =(

Aih..hope I can at least pass this subject. Jeff told me he was also kinda nervous as well, hahaha! Ok, at least I have someone to like my situation. =P After this presentation and my nightmare last week, I only left 2 online tests to be done. Pheww.. at least some time to breath. Gambateh! I can do it!!!
