Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival.

This is a very late post, it suppose to be up here since last month. Well as you know, I’m kind of lazy busy to update lately.

My University organized this trip to this place called Stanthorpe on 8th of March. There was a festival held named Apple & Grape Harvest Festival. Stacy, KahPeng, Benjamin, Kodomo and I were there together.

Stanthorpe

It was actually an event organized by the Queensland government to attract visitors and boost economy. If you wish to know more, google it regarding this, is not my style of posting and free advertising everything like someone do. Perhaps, I’m giving an excuse for my laziness. =P

This place is known as one of the highest spot in Queensland and because of that, this place even snow during winter at times. The place was really crowded, but it was kinda fun as an experience in Australia because it only held once in every 2 years.

Crowded

There are some fresh fruit juices, wine and fruits selling.

Honey

I bought myself a few fruit flavor alcohol and 1 bottle of honey, it was really tasty and smells really good, utterly different from the honey you can buy it from any of the supermarket.

Bees

That was the 3rd time I hold a real gun, before this I fire a revolver and marching with a M-16 Machine gun before.

Holding a gun

Personally, I like this photo the most among all the photos I took. This is the first time I’m physically contacted with a future robot. In our conversation, according to that robot, he said that it is the first time he shakes a human being hand as well. (My pleasure then…)

Robot

If you think KahPeng is a tall fella, then I can tell you, you are so wrong!

Stanthorpe

There was a parade marching around the town as well, they are quite interesting.

Parade

Parade

This is the first time I see a pipe band. They are so cool.

Pipe

I like it, I enjoy that day, is something that as a foreigner or international students should not miss out. Don’t miss out this event next time when you have the same opportunity.

My Mont Ville Trip

Argh! After my very very tiring days, I’m able to sit down and finished up my last trip. Phewww… My job is really killing me… As I mentioned before, I’ve been to UnderWater World then later, the next day when we were on the way back, we had a stop in this peaceful and nice little small town called Mont Ville.

Me & KDM

According to the driver, this town is one of the town where some just married couples will come up all the way here for their honey moon for a week or so… I do agree with him, I won’t feel regret if my honey moon held in here, is really nice here.

Almari Leather
I bought myself a Boomerang! Yay!

Yoohooo...

There are many shops along the street, what we did was, we just walk along the street and hop in some which look interesting and nice, to see whether is there anything we want to buy. Each shop will have their own design and selling different stuff, such as handicraft, photos, postcards and also some restaurants.

Monarose
Personally I like this photo the most, the background is awesome.

There is a shop which sell all the t-shirts with funny slogans on it. You can even print the picture or words you want on their shirt.

T-shirt
Cute?

And also a shop called Jolly Elephant which sell all elephant stuff as souvenirs such as elephant clock and elephant lamp…

Jolly Elephant

However one of the most impressive shop I remember is this one, a shop with a big bat statue in front… We were shocked!

Bat

Bat

Bat

In front of this shop, there is a huge tree, and there are bats hanging on this tree… Perhaps that’s the reason why the statue is there…

Fascinating right? Well, that’s it for this trip. To be honest with you guys, my happiest moment ever since I step in Australia is definitely this trip. Although there were only 3 of us, I had fun, we had fun… And I really experience something so different.

I really like it. I’ll remember it forever…

Big Dad’s Pie

One thing I want to tell you all during my trip to UnderWater World. When we were on the way to Sunshine Coast, the bus had a stop in some where just outside Brisbane. The bus driver keep recommending the pies they sell there. We were thinking, since he kept saying it, it must be good, so we went down and headed to the shop and have a look.

The brand name called Big Dad’s Pie. When we just stepped into the shop, we can smell the pies, and it smells good I reckon. So KahPeng, Kodomo and I bought 3 different flavors and have a try. When I had the first bite, the only thing I can tell is… YUMMY!!! So DELICIOUS!!! I have tasted the other 2 flavors as well, and it was good too.

KP
KahPeng says “Yo!This is the Big Dad’s Pie,yo yo yo…” Nah…I’m kidding. =P

Pie

The history of Big Dad’s Pie is printed behind the bag.

Pie

Later I keep wondering is there a branch in Toowoomba. At last, few days ago, KahPeng and I spotted that shop. It sells in Toowoomba. Weeee… Good news for us. We will definitely drop by and get a few someday!

Trip to UnderWater World. Part 2.

Ok, as I said, I’ll continue my trip to UnderWater World and this is it. To make you all understand more about this part of this trip, I’ll explain to you briefly now. This part is where I talk about where and how we stay over in UnderWater World. Trust me, you will definitely like it.

Welcome to UnderWater World!

Welcome

This is where we stayed over. This is the UnderWater World tunnel. I reckon this is the most exciting part of this whole trip. When you walk pass the tunnel, is expected that you will see more interesting and exciting view and fishes down here.

Fish

Big Fish

Look at this glass, this is how thick the glass is to build the tunnel. Amazing right?

Glass

The glass actually reduces the view of the object you see by 30% and you know what? 30%! After reducing 30% when I look at the sharks and stingrays in the tunnel, they are still so big! Damn scary!

Pointing

If you see these creatures live like I did, I am sure, you will really consider to simply hop into the sea in future. Just by looking at their size, you will feel the fear…

Shark

I ain’t exaggerating. They are really big! If you really look on their teeth, you know these are the nature fierce predators. See…?

Welcome

Not only sharks, if you look at those stingrays they have here… Just try to imagine their size, look at the person’s head in the picture I show you below. And remember that is actually 30% smaller than its actual size!

Stingray

That night, we slept in the tunnel. It was really a brand new experience… Although I had a very hard time sleeping. Due to the 2 men’s (KahPeng and Kodomo) band concert. It would have been perfect without that.

Sleep in the tunnel

Sleep in the tunnel

What do you usually see just before you sleep? I mean the last object you can see just before you close you eyes. Also the first thing you will see after your sleep, just when you open your eyes? Your ceiling fan? Your ceiling? Your cupboard? Or at most your sweet honey darling, or perhaps, even a naked hot lady or a handsome fella? But see, you will not have this experience seeing these creatures just before you sleep or you awake from your sleep.

Imagine what it feels if you open your eyes and see this after a whole night sleep…

Shark

Or this…

Shark

Or even a stingray which is bigger than your house dinning table!

Stingray

I just want to express this feeling a bit to your guys. Just to tell you that this is truly different. If you all ever have this chance to do this, don’t miss it. I assure you that you will like it. With no regrets. And yet, the main point is, is ONLY $90!!! I reckon this is totally a worth spending money.

Not that this is the end of the trip. We headed to another place called MontVille as I told you all before on the previous post… So be patience… I’ll show you another wonderful place on the coming post.

Trip to UnderWater World, Sunshine Coast. Part 1.

Ok, now then, it’s time for my UnderWater World trip story telling! After a swim in the sea, we headed straight to UnderWater World which is just opposite Sunshine Coast.

UnderWater World

Frankly speaking, I really love love love this trip so much, not to say I only get to enjoy myself, I get to learned a lot of things, see a lot of things and experienced lots of things as well.

For example, have you seen a baby shark before? I did…

Baby Shark

Have you see a Stingray with a size which even bigger than a dining table and so close that you can actually touch it? (But we are not allow to, because they bite!) I did…

Stingray

Closer?

Stingray
Big leh?

Have you seen a 7 feet GIANT SQUID before like you see in the movie??? I DID!!!

Squid

In fact, I even take photo with it!

Squid

Let me say something about this Giant Squid. It was found in one of the seashore in Mexico. This squid is a real thing! It is 7 feet long and it is frozen. But hey, tell you the bad news is, according to the guide who explained to us, the body is going to be rotten very soon, it wont stay with them for long, so fellas, if you wish to witness a 7 feet giant squid, make it fast or else you won’t be able to see it anymore even if you have money.

I’ve seen the biggest shark jaw model in my life, in this place.

Jaw

It has many marine life , you can actually see it every where in this place.

Aquarium

Some are cute and adorable… like sea horse.

Stingray

And some are really ugly and scary.

Fish

One thing which amazed me a lot, really a lot, probably is this aquarium car.

Car

It’s a real car for your information. Look how it is like inside…

Car
Amazing?

I did mentioned earlier that we are not allowed to touch the stingray, but there are some creatures that we can actually touch them.

Such as this star fish which is bigger than my palm.

Start Fish

Even KahPeng’s TOE is not as big. Even KahPeng and Kodomo were happy that’s why he’s finally smiling when he saw the size of this star fish! HAHAHA!!!

Them
I’m kidding dude…

And for the first time in my life, I see seal show. No kidding… this is my first time.

Seal

and it did not disappoint me.

Seal

Sound good? No, this is not the very best part. The next post, I’ll show you, how I slept with sharks that night!

Shark

Yeah, I slept over with them. No kidding, you shall see!
