Honda City VS Proton Waja
Written by Desmond on May 29, 2007 – 1:24 am -Finally I’m done with all my assignments! YEAH! At least I have to mood to blog again! Well, this post is exciting for sure. At least I was that excited at that time.
I was driving back home from my darling house last night. Saw a Honda City driving fast enough to overtake my car. I was driving my mum’s Proton Waja. I picked up and get in a race with it.

Distance : 9 - 10 km more or less
Car Type : Honda City VS Proton Waja
Fastest Speed : Waja=140km/j; City=Unknown
Car CC : Waja=1.6L; City=1.5L
Result : SOME MORE NEED TO ASK! CITY LA!
No chance when comes to pick up. City has very good and powerful pick up, Waja don’t stand a chance. Trust me! Power of VTEC! The City managed to overtake me easily when I was at 140km/j at that time.
We stopped at a cross junction in the end. The driver of Honda City gave me a friendly smile. =)
Ok, I lost with no regrets.
I did not see the number plate la, if you are the driver last night and you see this, do give me a message here. =)

Hi choc, I have been thinking whether should I reply your comment for some time before this and I think I should as I think you did not consider lots of factors before voicing out your comment.
FYI, it was a 2 lanes street in the middle of the city with no longer than 1.5km distance. On that less than 1.5km of distance, there are 5 traffic lights. The guy and I have to stop our car every 300-400 meter due to that and probably you did not realize the fact that, there are other cars on the street beside us that we have to break and squeezed through between them at times.
A normal drive on 140km/h under that kind of situation? I say probably you have a car which drive thru cars straight away in the 4th dimension world. An under speed kancil can do that? You are seriously a joker unless your kancil installed a at least 1.3 engine with turbo.
Good explanation of yours. However, it can only apply on your own imagination world. =P

Trust me I have done this before, you don’t know the power of WAJA (1.6). I have raced with Honda City , @ seremban Highway b4, and you know it’s a long stretch.. I agree with the power of V-TEC but it also depends on the rider too bro!!! results???? I managed to leave the GREAT HONDA CITY far behind me… go try again and you will experience the glory… GUYS support our Malaysian cars…

Hi Desmond,
Good day, maybe a bit late to reply. hehehe…
You must understand your enemy before you fight the battle.
Below 140km/h normally City rules! but beyond that no one knows. hehehe.. hope you know what I meant.
Well don’t blame you. I bet you are not very used to Waja, as it is your mums car. I also assume that your mother is a careful drive. Did you know Waja has ECU that will follow your driving style. Example if your mother had been driving the car for 6 months and most of the time 90km/h, don’t expect the car to perform suddenly.
Anyway don’t speed so fast, it’s dangerous to you and others. Get your own car, then I believe you will have more confident to take the car to a higher speed.
See you on the road!
